Ayurvedic Counseling

Ayurveda is an ancient healing science that originated over 4000 years ago in India. Considered the sister science of yoga, this healing modality helps us to understand ourselves on a more intimate level, understand what makes up our unique constitution (balance of the three doshas) and what you are naturally attracted to and what causes you to be out of balance or sick.  Knowing your constitution can also inform you how imbalances occur on a physical, emotional, and mental level and how we can restore balance using an Ayurvedic diet, daily Ayurvedic rituals, exercise and mindfulness practices.

A personal Ayurvedic consultation is perfect for individuals who want to deepen their understanding of Ayurveda and adopt its practices on a regular basis to live in alignment and balance with the environment, the seasons and even the time of day. Once you have armed yourself with this knowledge and information, you might find answers (or at the very least) an awareness around some very common ailments, such as:

  • Digestion

  • Insomnia

  • Headaches

  • Sinus congestion

  • Achy joints

  • Inflammation

  • Weight gain / weight loss

  • Anxiety

  • Stress

  • Depression

  • Uncontrolled emotions

Ayurvedic consultations take generally two hours and are broken down into three sessions, the first session consists of an exploration of your history and a Dosha test. The second session includes the results of your test, you find out your constitution, imbalances and recommendations on diet and lifestyle plan to find balance and symptom relief. Your third session is a follow up to ask any questions, alter any routines or rituals and note the overall improvement of your mind/body imbalances.

*Ayurveda is a holistic lifestyle practice, complimentary to Western medicine. This consultation should not be used to diagnose or treat serious illness.
